The Gift of Expression
Expression is my fuel. For as long as I can remember, self-expression has been my talent. My ability to allow myself to be vulnerable, sharing what's on my mind through various forms of expression, is my superpower. I am a human first, expressive second, and a creative last. My humility drives me to express myself, which I've learned to do within the realm of creativity.
I embrace every emotion, yet never allowing any one feeling to consume me. I think critically about the cause and effect of each action I make. When pushed, I express myself. I share what's on my heart, my mind, and my soul. I don't pump the brakes when driven; I move with the push to express.
I enjoy having my voice heard, my thoughts read, and my vision seen. When I speak, people listen. When I share my thoughts, I provoke further reflection. When I invite people into my imagination, I inspire belief. When I bring three or more together, people join hands.
Expression is my connection. It connects me to my core, my mind, my heart, and my soul. It keeps me sane, centered, and alive. Expression enacts connection. It connects the dots in my life just as it connects the people in it. Expression has given me a voice and a vision. It is stronger than all five senses combined—the ultimate form of sense. It is a gift to lean in, tap into, and release it [expression].
